Since I don't have any experience replacing the hard disk myself nor know anyone that can (otherwise I would definitely opt for an X-25M); if I deliver my 13'' MBP to the apple store and ask for an SSD placement (currently having the 5400 RPM drive), will I get one of the newer SSDs that support TRIM in boot camp? Or can't you really know beforehand ... Thanks in advance :]
http://eshop.macsales.com/installvideos/macbookpro_13_unibody_hd_h/ It's not hard to replace the HD, just follow the tutorial.
replacing the hard drive is ridiculously easy, watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoHNcjCyAvU&feature=related
I'll be replacing my drive when I get a new SSD. From the looks of YouTube videos about it its a pretty easy proceedure (and it won't void your warrenty either!).
How about AHCI & TRIM, will everything be automatically configured (windows) -when restoring a previous image -when performing a clean install
