I jsut recieved my MBP in the mail yesterday and i have a question about the backlit keys. I noticed there is a brightness key for the backlit keys but no matter how high i put it it tends to readadjust itself to whatever it thinks it should be at. I like it at its highest level but tend to find myself readjusting it frequently. Is there a way to make it stay at the highest level or is that a feature of the light sensors?

I dont have a MBP but maybe its something to do with power efficiency in system prefs. Set it to max instead of Auto see what that does.

The adjustments you make are specifically for that ambient light intensity. So if your ambient light changes your backlight intensity may change as well (normally the intensity decreases when it gets darker).

ps. note that I have a PB and not a MB but I guess the backlight works the same way...
