I havent used my MBP in about a week, and when I went to plug it into the charger it wont charge...I have an "X" on the battey icon in the finder bar at the top.

Has anyone seen this before?? Any suggestions as to what is going on?? how to fix it??

Thanks

The X means that the battery is not connected. Take it out and put it back and see if that fixes it. I'd also try restarting, just to be safe. Beyond that, I'd take it to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Repair Center and have them take a look at it. You may have a bad battery, or a loose connection inside.

i tried it...Could the battery be so dead that it wont evern recognize the charger?? Are batteries replaced even if I am out of warranty?? its my second one...

Thanks TEG
