Hi, I'm talking about the older "Penryn" MBPs here. I have one, and I usually don't use the battery (I run it on AC supply, usually it stays in one plcae, I take the battery out). Does this affect the case? Will it reduce support for the case? Who else does not use their battery?

Well I wanted to preserve battery health because I hardly take it around, and leave it at 50%, but hearing that it lowers clock speed, I have decided to use it again.
