Do you use the battery for your MBP?

  1. No, I don't use it (You take it out of the MBP and put it aside)

Hi, I'm talking about the older "Penryn" MBPs here. I have one, and I usually don't use the battery (I run it on AC supply, usually it stays in one plcae, I take the battery out). Does this affect the case? Will it reduce support for the case? Who else does not use their battery?

Why would you take out the battery? It lowers the clockspeed of the CPU if you do that...

Well I wanted to preserve battery health because I hardly take it around, and leave it at 50%, but hearing that it lowers clock speed, I have decided to use it again.
