MBP boot up, black screen then login screen

Hi there,

My MBP 2010, on high Sierra. It is able to boot up, load the progress bar. It would load till 60-70% then displays a black screen for 1-2 sec before continue loading with the progress bar follow by the login page.

Is this a sign of failing SSD or logicoboard?

Don't know...but you could try starting in "verbose" mode (hold Command-V on startup) and see if there are any clues at the boot point in question.

Is the MacBook a 15"or 13"?

It's a 17inch with 2 Graphics card.

I just did a fresh installation of High Sierra and the same thing occured.

I fault, this to them choosing which graphics card it would use to boot
