MBP cant detect my hdv

My late 2008 MBP cant detect my Sony Z1 HDV either connectting through FW800 or FW400 using an adaptor.

I thk I got a correct setting
-project is set as an 1080i HDV project.
-menu in the cam item set to HDV while capturing for this project. -downconvert is turned OFF in the camera

What's the problem?

I got a MB too, I can connect the HDV to it through FW400...
