Ok, I think I have figured out what I am going to do. I just wanted to get some additional opinions.

Most of you are going to say wait. I have been waiting for 3 or so months now to get a MacBook Pro. Unless Apple releases updates in the next two days I am buying the current model.

I am planning to get the 2.2GHz model of the MBP. The reason is I mainly use my computer for Internet, audio editing/recording, and some mild video and picture editing. I don't feel like the additional 200Mhz and 128MB of VRAM will make a real difference.

I am going to take the extra money and use to to upgrade the RAM to 4GB (not from Apple). See Here

In addition, I will be upgrading to a 200GB 7200RPM HD. See Here

What do you think?

I suggest doing the memory swap here. You can mail back your memory for a rebate. It beats shelving it and it is the one time I didn't go through NewEgg.com. :D

The reason I was going for those specific sticks is because they have a CL of 4. It won't be a real big difference. Really more of a mindset thing.

Right on! I just thought you might like to know you can push off the ram to that site. I hadn't noticed the latency numbers. Good call.

Good call on the latency and the HD. I am going to check those out myself. I've been looking to get a 7200rpm. However what I really wish is if I could just cram my WD Raptor (10,000 rpm) in the MBP and call it a day.:D

Thanks for the feedback so far!

I guess now I just need to make the purchases. Anyone have some money that they don't need/want?:D
