While playing around on my mac Ive noticed if i have the option "Correct as I type" enabled when i type Ive its changes it to vie. is there a way to correct this like you can on a cellphone? or will it eventually just stop doing it like the iPhone does? I don't want it to leave it like ive i want it to change it to I've!!!

Thanks anyways

I don't know, I would also like to know. I do know Macs currently use the Oxford American Dictionary 2nd edition from 2005. Lion uses the 3rd edition from 2010.

I'm not too happy about the spelling correction in OS X. It won't even capitalize the first letter of a sentence. If anyone knows how to fix that, let us know.

And, while we are at it, is there anyway to bring the Lion dictionary into Snow Leopard? 🙂 It adds thousands of modern words.

Also, is there a better spelling solution for Macs than the Dictionary App?
