mini dvi to hdmi from the macbook to my HDTV at 1080p...had this setup for years. I upgrade now if I turn off the tv and turn it back on the macbook doesn't detect my TV unless I unplug then replug the dvi cable....
I'm going to do a pram reset later, The cables are fine and ports are fine.
any other possible ideas? I get home in like 14 hours.
