Hey all, I'm a Malaysian studying in Singapore university. Now, I'm trying to get the 13" mbp thru the Malaysia educational store since the Singapore educational pricing is higher than the Malaysia educational price.

Unfortunately, I'm don't seem to be eligible to purchase the mbp with the Malaysia education price.

Quoted from Malaysia Educational Store:
Who is Eligible To Purchase
The following K-12 individuals are eligible to purchase through the Apple Store for Education:

* Employee of public or private K-12 institutions in Malaysia
* School Board members who are currently serving as elected or appointed members
* PTA or PTO executives currently serving as elected or appointed officers
* Employee of a public or private, profit or non-profit preschool
* Staff of Ministry of Education

The following Hi-Ed individuals are eligible to purchase through the Apple Store for Education:

* Faculty or staff member of a public or private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia
* Student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia
* Parent purchasing on behalf of his or her child who is a student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia
* Staff of Ministry of Education

Purchase Quantity
The individuals in the defined groups above will be allowed to purchase the following quantities of product per academic school year from the Apple Store for Education Individuals:

   1. Desktop: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
   2. Mac mini: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
   3. Notebook: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
   4. Display: A maximum of two (2) may be purchased per academic year
   5. Software: A maximum of two (2) per software title may be purchased per academic year
   6. iPod: There is no limit on the quantity of iPod purchases per academic year

Statement of Eligibility
I represent that I am a member of one of the defined groups above eligible to purchase from the Apple Store for Education Individuals and that the products being purchased direct from Apple South Asia Pte Ltd are for my own personal, education, and/or research use.

But due to tight budget, I'm going to try to get the malaysia edu price since they do not ask for details or proof when u buy through the online edu store. The thing I'm worried about is that they might check if u r eligible when they deliver the mbp. would they not allow u to take the mbp after u paid the edu price and no refund? or would they need u to present proof if u bring it to apple store for service?

I need some advice. Thank you for taking the time to read this. And sorry for bad english.

Your conspiring to commit fraud, try it, dont ask others for advice.

Chances are they wont ask for any proof.

I've heard cases where they will auto bill you the full price if they find out, but this seems rare

Have your parents buy it for you when you visit them during the summer months then bring it back to school.
