mbp freezes when importing cd

Why is my itunes not responding halfway through importing a cd?!?!

Is it the same CD each time? Is it working normally with other optical media?

it worked fine with installing a printer driver but this was just a cd-r i was trying to import, i haven't tried any other cd-r's since I don't have any

Well the CD could be scratched or damaged. Can you get your hands on another disc to test your drive with?

well it was fine with a cd that wasn't scratched at all from hp. maybe your right it was just the cd-r. then again i think it could be leopard

If other CDs are working then I really doubt it's Leopard or even the hardware. 🙂
