For some strange reason, the sound level while playing a YouTube link is very faint, almost to the point of being inaudible; but other links such as PBS News, the sound level is normal. 😕

YouTube don't let me have a volume slider; just a mute button. :shrugs:

Really? I think that the mute button doubles as a volume slider(at least on mine). You hover your mouse over the slider, and the drag the bar up.

Sorry if that sounds stupid, I don't know you, or your level of knowledge.

Put your mouse cursor over the mute button, it'll expand to show the volume. Turn the now exposed volume up to 11.

Alright guys, thank you. 🙂

There's a separate white vertical line next to the mute button; apparently THAT's the volume slider. I would've thought of a volume slider as being a horizontal line, but at this point, I'm not complaining. 🙂
