Hi all,

Does everyone get battery drain when plugged in? With no attached peripherals.
If I run any app with CPU/GPU usage (I also tried the free fortnite as I realised its something a lot of people do) the battery goes down and I even see it on iStats.

The power brick has no power to give by design...or its my Mac?

Thanks

Can’t replicate this behavior on my MBP. Things like these have been reported in the past, but only in very specific cases (stress tests, very demanding games), but you certainly shouldn’t see it every time you push the machine.

Istats gives me a graph for the battery watts used. I played some fortnite for 5 mins to test is and it was 5 to 25w on the graph.

Weird

Try resetting SMC, maybe there is something off with your power management. I think it's fine that your battery gets used a little bit even if you are running plugged (its part of the built-in battery maintenance after all), but it shouldn't be the case that you end up with lower battery percentage than when you started.
