My Wife's MBP is dead but if I hold it up in the air by the right front it will boot just fine. So I am thinking that there is a bad solder joint in there somewhere. So I think that I could take it apart and fix it. So anyone know where I should be looking.

Thanks, Shap

A repair shop? Applecare, if it's still valid? The alien force field around your house?

Apple care ran out last September. As for a repair shop all they will do is say the mother board is bad and it will be 500 to 700 dollars. Might as well buy a new one. I checked and there were no aliens.
