MBP isight and skype

hey guys/gals.

does skype not recognize the isight on the mbp? I finally decided to try it out, and i couldn't get the video part to work. any suggestions?

It works fine with my external webcam on a Powerbook running Leopard, so I imagine it should work with the built in MBP. If you start up iChat do you see it?

i don't use ichat, but the web cam works fine when using photobooth. so i'm wondering why skype isnt seeing it.

It works fine with Skype v2.7.0.330 and my MBP's iSight on Leopard 10.5.4.

Are you using the most recent version of Skype?

It should work; did you enable webcams?

ok thanks guys,

i was using the latest version of skype, but was running 10.5.3, upgraded to .4 and it now recognizes the isight under webcam options.

skype works fine just make sure your cam is enabled in skype
