MBP iSight Problem

Sometimes, the applications that use a camera doen't recognize that I have the iSight. What can I do about htis other than restart the computer?
 
Which programs? If one program (say PhotoBooth) is utilizing the iSight and you open another (say Delicious Library) it won't work in the second until you close the first.
