I was just wondering... is there something one can do, to improve the keyboards response? I feel that the responce on my MBP is not that great. While typing fast, at least 1 out of 50 caracters are not noticed. I have to really push the buttons all the way down, for the punch to be recognized. Is that normal, is there anything I can do - is there a setting I can change?

My keyboard seems to be perfect when typing on it, people that have used it as well have commented on how good it is, havent needed to alter a thing.

My theory on this one may be that it is actually you just trying to get used to the keyboard, there is no way you can say that when you are typing you dont make errors or miss keys, everybody does.

IMHO I would just keep typing with it and get used to it, maybe also alter how you are typing with it, desk height, chair and possibly also look in System Preferences-->Keyboard & Mouse to see if there are any settings in there that are related to your problem.

If you really think after a while there is a hardware problem with the keyboard take it to a genius at an Apple Store and let them check it out.

    Hope that helps!!! :)

In my honest opinion, the AlBooks and MBPs have the best keyboards I've ever used on any computer--including desktops. I'd love to have a desktop version of the MBP's keyboard.

Why not give the new keyboards a test drive? Not exactly what your meaning but they are basically the same as Macbook keyboards and they are mighty tasty to type on as well.

Might be worth a consideration to try one out!!

I agree. It's the best keyboard I have used. I wish Apple would release a desktop version of the MBP keyboard, maybe even with backlighting!

The new keyboard is great, but it's no MBP keyboard. I bought one for the office. Aside from looking fantastic and taking up very little space, it types much better than that mushy, POS Dell keyboard that came with my work machine. I'm waiting for the IT folks to have a cerebral hemorrhage the next time they have to work on my machine.

I have the same experience with my MBP. And it's not cause I'm getting used to it, as I've had it for about 10 months now. I can live with it, even though it's irritating.

I love mine - much better than the MacBook. I want an ergonomic bluetooth for the desk but haven't found one I like.

The MBP keyboard works fine. It takes some getting use to, but after a while, it's like butter.

When at the home office, I do use Apple's external keyboard which works fine as well but the damn thing is loud. I went to an Apple Store to try out the new aluminum KBs and at first I didn't like it, but after about 5 mins. of typing, I fell in love. It is a lot quieter and quite sturdy despite its thin profile.

Back on topic: the MBPs KB does feel a bit mushy, at first, but if you touch type, the thing is magic.
