Not terrible for $12... Nothing I'd buy. I'd get something with a fan built in or something to actually move the surrounding air.

well my retina will for the most part be stationary on my dining room table (wife wont allow iMac)

so i just figure it will help elevate as "2 cork do on my current dell LOL"

im just looking for something to elevate the rear to help ventilate but can you suggest something other than gigantic u shaped usb powered coolers!?

    Don't buy it.
I've owned a MBP with a CoolingBar from JustMobile. Elevating MBP might help with only few degrees, bit it will not make a difference. When you use it heavily, it will be loud, with or without elevating feet. Get some fan-elevator-combo. That will make a difference.

    I would go Big

    Here's a little cheaper

    And finally cheap

I think I'm going to buy the top option ^

I have an old targus one, but I'm ready for the upgrade and additional cooling ability.

How does the USB powered fan affect the laptop and it's power consumption?
