As it says , im connecting my MBP (lid closed) to 22" Dell External screen & i realized that i got almost the same battery life when using the MBP screen , is it normal ?

I would imagine that any savings in power to run the LCD are negated by the need of the GPU to work harder to drive a bigger display's resolution. So yeah, probably is normal.

It is normal, however its probably attributed to the good battery usage of the LED based screens.

You do not have to overclock a GPU to drive a larger screen, depending on what your doing .

If you are trolling in OS X doing nothing then you will probably see no change, but visualization, high end gaming , Extreme Photoshop CS4 etc etc will yield varying results.
