MBP Logic Board Died, How to Get HDD Contents?

My 15" MBP Santa Rosa finally packed it in, and I'm about to sell it on Craiglist for parts but I want to know how to retrieve the hard drive contents off of the computer before selling it. Does anyone know how this can be done?

Does Target Disk Mode still work and do you have another Mac?

Or can you take the MBP apart and get the MBP yourself and put it into a 2.5" USB enclosure?

Thanks the target disk mode option should work. Just have to go out and get myself a FireWire cable that'll fit into my iMac.
