Hi guys,

I am using a Dell U2415 monitor connected to my MBP M1 (2021) with a DiplayPort to USB-C cable.
Unfortunately the fonts a blurry on the Dell monitor.

I followed this thread:

and tried the steps described by @jkirchgessner07 here:

but it did not work for me:
- I set DP on the Dell to 1.2
- I tried the commands to change the fonts:
a.) defaults -currentHost write -g AppleFontSmoothing -int 0
b.) defaults write -g CGFontRenderingFontSmoothingDisabled -bool YES
- the Dell is using already RGB color profile.

Any help?

It worked for @amitdel here:
but not in my case. Perhaps because my MBP is on Monterey 12.0.1?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I faced the same issue with another display, turns out the refresh rate was too high (it was set by default to this value)
After turning it down from 75Hz to 60Hz the problem was solved

Thanks @ingambe. How can I change the frequency? In the settings I´m only able to change the resolution, the color profile and to choose to turn the extern display. I clicked on scaled while holding the option key but there was no value for the refresh rate. Thank you!

Thank you @ingame. My monitor does not have it and I found out that it is running with 60 Hz already and the blurring is still there.
