In persona non grata
I just recently got a 15" Unibody MBP, 2.4 Ghz base unit. I want to upgrade the RAM to 4 Gb. I went to OWC, I've had good luck with their memory, but they're showing an upgrade to 6 Gb in addition to the 4 Gb.

Will a 15 " Unibody accept 6 Gb? Will it be able to use it? Is it of any use if not running 64 bit apps?

1. Will a 15 " Unibody accept 6 Gb?
2. Will it be able to use it?
3. Is it of any use if not running 64 bit apps?

1. Yes! Check here for benchmarks from OWC.
2. Yes, it should be able to use all 6GB of RAM.
3. I'm just guessing here, but I think you will be able to use all the RAM regardless. Apps will just run faster if it's 64-bit rather than its 32-bit counterpart.
