MBP memory max?

why is the macbook pro only allowed to be maxed out at 4gb? is it because there arent any memory parts that are larger then 2gb that would fit a mbp?

we should be able to run like 8gb on a machine like this🙄

wtffff 3gb is better then 4 lol o boy that just makes me even more confused.
im assuming that all laptops or atleast most of them are only upgradable to about 4gb that sucksss.
