Hi

I have a reasonably new 15" MacBook pro (April '10) and it just started doing 2 things...

Firstly, a small metallic 'pinking' sound to the right of the trackpad appears from time to time. Tried to diagnose this sound but it is not a very reliable problem. Occasionally when the MBP is moved from one location to another but also when it is static on a flat surface and my hand is on the area to the right of the trackpad it appears.

Now, a week or so later after the first problem appeared, the static electricity problem that has been reported whilst using a travel adaptor on on this forum is also happening. Are the two related? Do I need to worry?

Many thanks in advance

Mister D

The metallic click you hear is most likely the sudden motion sensor i.e. normal.

As for static electricity, I'm not sure what you mean. You can use the groudned plug...
