MBP Motheboard, What is that?

Im opening my MBP and im see a little sticky thing? What is that?Anybody know?

To me it looks like some repair work has been done and the tape is to help cover it up and protect it.

Yes, i think i too, but the question is, what kind of repair?im repairing macbooks but im never seen this before, i wanna know what is that 🙂

How old was your MBP in the manufacturing cycle ? Was it one of the first ?
Seems to me it could be a version of the mobo that needed to be reworked with a new update - but had to be done manually. Mobos later than yours would have had the traces redone.

This is a 2010 Mid C2D P8600, if i remove it, it works the same, no difference.
