MBP not sending out my emails..

    Help...unexpectedly I am receiving error message when I try to send out email...telling me issues with server etc. nothing changed that I know of and I am not able to resolve.TYIA..

    Are you using iCloud? If so I have this randomly and I was at a level 2 senior tech support with Apple and they couldn't fix it. It seems to resolve itself after a few hours.

    Oddly if I use the same email but replace @icloud.com with @me.com or use the iCloud email via iCloud on safari then I have no issue. It seems to be a bug in the Mail program for some reason.

    thank you...it is sending it out as an email with @me.com account..I did not set it up that way and can not seem to change it...it has done this before and resolved, but this time it has been going on for about 4 days.

    smtp server issue or not configured smtp. Could be wrong port, server address. I have @mac.com and still works.

    The issue is a bug in the mail app. Even with the details all correct it won’t send. The same happens through the mail app on iOS devices too.

    Log in to iCloud.com on safari and send from the same email address and it goes through no problem.

    For me when it occurs it seems to resolve itself after a few hours.
