MBP Not Starting

Heya,

So when I press the button to start the MBP, I see the usual apple logo. However after a very short while, the screen turns black and nothing happens. Any idea on how I can trouble shoot what is going on?

PRAM Reset solved this for me and ensure its plugged into power source.
