MBP Options, do I need all the power? Do I even need a MBP???

Which 500giger did you get? I'm undecided between the WD Blue Scorpio, and waiting for a 7200rpm equivalent (that is not the Seagate) to come down in price...

I just went with the Hitachi 5400RPM...

I was going to get the Seagate 7200RPM but I don't really need the extra speed. Plus I would rather have less heat, more battery life, and better reliability.

I also got the external case to make the 250GB HD that comes in the MBP into an external unit.

1)Is there an online tutorial or something to change HDD on unibody MBP?

2)Why is applecare so much cheaper on ebay? Is it legit?

I noticed you're a teacher. I'm assuming you'll use a projector to show slides and videos to your kids. I don't know if the issue has been resolved (maybe someone that has a unibody can help me out here) but I know the mini display port was implementing some new security to prevent it from displaying media on illegal devices (such as recorder so you could copy blu-rays etc.) this problem might happen to you.

I'll find out, all of the Media use would be legal though...
