With the recent update to the MacBook line, I'm not sure what to buy - the 15/17" MacBook Pro, or the 24" iMac. It will be my main computer, but it is very important for it to be able to handle Microsoft Flight Simulator X (running under XP on bootcamp).
My options are:
MacBook Pro
15-inch: 2.8GHz
4GB Memory
500GB hard drive
SD card slot
Built-in 7-hour battery
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB
or
17-inch: 2.8GHz
Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB Memory
500GB hard drive
ExpressCard/34 slot
Built-in 8-hour battery
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB
OR
iMac
24-inch : 3.06GHz
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB memory
1TB hard drive
8x double-layer SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 with 512MB memory
I'm looking to get very good FPS - 30+ preferably. The iMac seems to have better specs but I'm worried the graphics card isn't good enough. I will appriciate any help, especially from those who do run fsx on these systems.
Thanks,
Manek
