Maybe a small CPU bump and price cut by leopard release?
I don't think so, it has been updated recently and Apple will take advantage of this to enhance their margins during the upcoming quarter/holiday shopping season.
I would love to see a MBP for about $1600-$1700.
Yeah, I'd sell mine and get two. Oh wait, that won't work.
And I'd like to see pig's fly. $1600 MBP will cut black macbook sales. MBPs are high end machines and will be priced as such.
Well look back when we had the 12" PB??? The difference in price from the iBook was what like $200-300??
I asked my sister if she wanted a black MacBook or a the 2.2GHz MacBook Pro...she said the blackbook because its black and it looks nice. People will sacrifice speed for looks..
maybe they could bump the CPU in MBP lineup w/o changing the price?
2.4 ghz for 15.4 MBP 128MB
2.6 ghz for 15.4 & 17 MBP 256MB
Apple already offers a discounted MBP. In fact, they offer a bunch: the refurbished units, which are, at last check, about $300 less than retail. Same machine, same one year warranty, $300 less.
$2,380.XX including tax for buying the 2.4ghz 15" Macbook Pro off of Apple's refurb site. Just one more month...
What is with all this MacBook/MacBook Pro price cut threads?
Apple never cuts prices
What will happen is they will just give it a small speed bump to reflect current specs and call it quits.
They cut the price of the iPhone by $200.
The last gen iPod's were cut by a significant amount.
The new MBP was cut by about $200.
Statistically speaking, the macbook Rev C recieved a price cut
Don't count on a MBP price cut. It will never happen
Price cut - doubtful.
Speed bump like above - a very good possibility.
And hopefully (please please) a larger standard drive in the high end 15 and the 17". And BTO options up to the 250GB 5400 drives.
Don't forget about Lisa
The Lisa price cut.
