I'm about to send in my 2.0 MBP to request a replacement:

Issues:

CD/DVD Burner - Malfunctioning
Top Casing (over Drive) - Bent due to ordinary usage
Screen damage - Pixels burning out, ghostly (perfeclty straight) vertical line, and brown pixel clusters...
CPU Whine - GZZZZZZZZZZZZTT!!!
Thermal Paste - I'm unsure about this one but I'm going to mention it
Display Joints - Seem to be wearing looser.

Do u think they might replace this one? I really just want the cosmetic display damage fixed. Otherwise a standard repair would do it. I never have been able to use the DVD/CD burner. Sux.

Why would you ask this question the day the new MBP came out?🙄

Send it in for repairs since you have the 1 year warranty. Did you get AppleCare as well.

sounds like a "wah my MBP is outdated and I want a new one for free" post to me, too.

could just be my suspicious side, though.
