got my brand new MBP yesterday and have a question:
when i start frontRow and se movietrailers, the black/dark colors in movies are sortov (?) small sqeares, not perfect picture . dont wreally how to say it in ingelish (?) .

but did anyone understand?

Sounds like pixelization artefacts that come in the encoding, I think. Does the trailer play smoothly otherwise?

yes, sound and all else in color like cartoons look great!.

just horror movies/ dark its been like small amounds (?) piksel .

are that like it scall be? so this isnt wrong?

I don't think its wrong, just poor encoding. Are you looking at the US (.com) site, or a local version?

i use front row , start with that little white thingy (remotecontroll)

movie trailers in there

its sharp everything in picture, like a man or woman, but if its dark back them thats when i see the "sqears".

Edit: try one at apple.com, was just like. tok high download (?)

<smacks own head> Sorry, yes, you said that. 🙄

I just watched a couple trailers myself off Frontrow using Tiger, not Leopard. There are some artefacts in the shadows, true, but I don't usually notice them anymore.

thanx! got this yesterday and is wondering about things you see. 🙂 ... wery nice you answered!

tomorrow i try a DVD movie and se.
dosent think it was so much dark fuzziness om my old Macbook. but then the screen was smaller.

It's good to know if these things are normal 🙂

I'm curious if your DVD experience will be similar. Post back to say, S.V.P.

I just watched a couple of trailers in front row on my MBP, and I definitely noticed some pixelation. It's actually pretty profound; the squares are quite large. Hmm...

This is more of a Leopard thing: When I watch trailers on my MBP running Tiger, they play smoothly once the initial load is done. Artefacts and all.

On my Leopard-installed Mac Mini, the preview starts, then pauses to buffer more at least three times during the preview. Makes them unwatchable, really.

BTW: The previews used to load and play fine before I upgraded the Mini to Leopard.
