MBP skipping Montevina upgrade

i was reading tom krazit's blog "one more thing" and there was this article about the new MB's and MBP's and how they are skipping the montevina upgrade and apple is creating there own chipset for the computers.....if they dont use the intel chips wouldnt the computer not work correctly with the windows operating system?

it will still be compatible since the processor is still an Intel:

It should be said however, this does not mean that Apple will be moving away from Intel's processors.

To the customer, Apple's decision to use 3rd party or custom chipsets is not of great significance, as all the chipsets should be functionally identical.
