Hi All,

I had bought a MBP (Refurbished) in May this year. After using it for a while, I found it goes to sleep randomly.

Mostly this will happen when either I connect to disconnect to power source.

I was ignoring it for being lazy but yesterday, when I tried to keep the laptop on the table, some weird noise (probably fan) started coming.

I took it up and the noise stopped.

Now I am really scared. I am not able to produce that noise again. So wondering if I should take it to Genious Bar.

Any suggestions/advice is appreciated.

Regards,

I would take it in. The sleeping problem could be a RAM issue or worse. As for the noise, it will be hard for them to diagnose if it is still not happening, but they can make sure your fan speed is OK and check the hard drive to make sure it isn't failing and thus making noise.
