I've checked out previous topics, but I was hoping to get more help. Currently, I was running a video game from 1998.. so it is not by any means a demanding game as my 2000 cpu had 1gb of ram and ran the game fine.

My MBP has been running it perfectly, until recently, I've been getting a lot of lag.

Could someone help me out? I have a MBP from Summer '08. Thanks.

Try using Onxy (google) an just run the basic maintenance. It allows your Mac to run the scripts that are already built in to the OS to run to clean it up a little bit. As I leave my mac on most of the time it tends to run the scripts at about 3:15ish AM.

You should notice an improvement. If your hard drive space is getting slim, use Monolingual (google) to remove all the extra language packages you dont need. Running all of the monolingual options I saved about 4GB of space.

Hope this helps.
