I have an aluminium unibody 15" macbook pro:
    2.53 ghz core i5
    256 GB solid State Drive
    4096 GB Ram
    High res display
    Original box + cables etc...

I paid just over £2300 a little more than a year ago... What do you think i should try and sell it for now?

also, any tips on where to sell online? i'm not an ebay user really. I much prefer forums for this sort of thing!

Edit: oops should probably mention I'm in the UK :)

as a rough guide - 70% to 80% of your original purchase price.
give ebay a try - it's pretty easy to use and safe, and is a large market
list your start price as £1600 with a buy-it-now of £1900 and see how you go.

don't forget to specify P&H in your pricing, although free post is always an attraction for buyers.
can always add insurance in afterwards

That's quite a bit of ram you've got there! :D

I would say depending on the condition anywhere from £1500-1800 since it is 2 generations old.
