MBP - student discount in different than home country?

Hello,
it is possible to buy the MacBook Pro with student discount for example in Austria even though I study at university in Czechia? I would like to pick-up my Mac personally at the Apple Store at Stephansplatz in Vienna. We have no Apple Store here and I would prefer to buy it there.

I expect you’ll have to be registered as a student in the country of purchase. I can’t be certain but that seems my gut feeling, why not buy it online?

Well... Due the 5-10 % surcharge which we usually have to pay here and also due to unavailability of the AppleCare+ in Czechia.

That’s the reason why I would like to buy it in Austria.

I understand your dilemma I just think it will come down to two choices. Buy in Austria at full price with all the support and AppleCare. Or buy in your home country online with an education discount.

I can’t find any definitive answer myself you may have to just contact Apple and ask.
