Help anybody, was not sure wether to post hear or in Peripherals as I am not sure which is the connection problem my MBP or the HP printer. Anyway here goes, I have spent the last five days trying to set up my 'wireless HP photosmart All in one printer B110a'.
I have followed all the installation set up correctly but when it comes to the wireless IP settings configuration page, at set up wireless network, I unplug the USB cable from the MBP and printer as instructed by the installer and I keep getting a message saying:

DEVICE NOT REACHABLE
The network configuration was successfully downloaded to the device. However to continue configuring the device in network, your Mac must have access to the device. So please make sure that your Mac has access to the Network : "eircom66830833" and retry.[/B]

I have checked over and over and my MBP is connected to this network otherwise I would not be able to access the internet and look at Mac Rumors at the moment.

Not sure if it helps but my Router is a Zyxel model number: P-660HW-T1 v3, I live in Ireland and my internet service provider is 'Eircom'. I have been in touch with my service provider for some help but it was useless.

Any information or advice would be appreciated I have been on the phone to technical advisers at HP which is a joke they are useless. I phoned them three days in a row for two hours each day six hours of useless help and buy the way never agree to a call back session as thy never call you back.
I phoned the apple care technicians on Friday and again no joy the tried everything even a fresh install of the Mac OSX. They said that if there was no further help from HP on Monday I should try and return it to apple but the technician was not sure if they would allow a return as it lapsed beyond the return date.
Sorry for the long rant but this is no joke
Thanks
Kind Regards

I've had lots of issues with 2 different HP wireless printers-they just seem to "disappear" from the network and are unreachable. I also have a Zyxel router and found that over a period of several days, the IP address assigned to the printer would change several times. This also causes the printer to be unreachable, since it's not at the address the computer is looking for. The bottom line is that HP refuses to acknowledge there is any issue with their printers and Bonjour, and as you found out their support is lacking.

In any case, my solution was to assign a static IP address to the printer. The Zyxel router will have a range of addresses assigned by DHCP, just choose an address outside this range. For example my router assigns IP addresses via DHCP starting at 192.168.1.2, with a pool size of 50, so the last address will be 192.168.1.51. I chose 192.168.1.99 for the printer. Set up the printer using this address as a static IP. This varies by printer.

Now on your Mac, in System Preferences-Printers add a printer. The dialog box defaults to Default at the top, click on the IP icon. Under Protocol, select HP Jetdirect-Socket and enter the static IP assigned to the printer under Address. Click Add. Now your printer will always be at the same address, and your Mac can always find it.

Thanks PScraig really appreciate your help, it is prety late now so I will try your suggestion tomorrow and I will let you know how it went.

Kind Regards

Well I have tried everything. I have now been on the Hp forum and have ben given tech advice form Mac Forum and Hp community forum, all help has failed, so I am not sure what my next option will be, maybe to try and send it back to Apple for a different model. I purchased it through apple does that mean I would have to get refund or gift certificate from them or would HP give me one? Nothing seems to work. All is lost.

Exactly the same problem here, new imac and promotion HP B110a wireless printer/scanner Zyxel 660 router..!
cannot reach the printer wireless well sometimes it works for some seconds.
the same with the iphone app, but for some reason everything works with my old sony pc laptop?
