After a couple weeks of owning this brand new computer I am wishing I didn't purchase it. I have never had so many typos in my life. Can anyone offer advice on how to better use it? Not only do I have a lot of typos, usually missed keystrokes, but i cant keep my palms away from the HUGE trackpad which is way too sensitive. I'm going insane. I am writing a book and this this is killing me...

Sell the thing and get a 2015 model. Or better yet, a Thinkpad! Great keyboards on both. If you're writing a book, you should be pounding away on the keyboard that makes your fingers dance, regardless of the brand of computer it's attached to. All that matters in the world of words is what you produce, not what you are "seen" writing on at the coffee shop. Words pay the bills; gawking eyes don't. As for the ginormous trackpad on that MBP, disable it and use a mouse. Problem solved.

I'm sorry then. Apple's newest laptops have really stunk it up. The 2015 MBP is still the best laptop in the world for what I do.

It's sad when I see a company like LG make a laptop that has more than twice the battery life, faster processor, more ports, and cheaper than the MBP. If they're going to make a piece of **** every year, they should just license out MacOS out.

I have the 2016 tbMBP the only problem is the keyboard - I hate it. I am very tempted to buy a 2015 MBP just for better keyboard an easier connection. I find that using the 2016 it is easier to type on a desk or table.

guys, i love the help, but we don't need to repeat the 'buy a 2015' or 'get another keyboard/mouse' it's been said repeatedly. i get it, it's not an option.

Like I said: the only thing you can realistically hope for in this case is that your muscle memory will adjust over time. I for one loved using the new keyboard. Once my fingers, muscles, joints, and most importantly my brain adjusted to the new switches I was touch typing faster and more accurate than before (110+ wpm). If that keyboard was more reliable I would have stuck with it but alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Maybe all you need is more time and practice.

This is exactly the plan now, practice practice practice.... I'm going to suck it up and live with it
