MBP - Turn-on problem

For last two week my MPB has been giving me problems starting up.

1. When I close the lid, and open it again, keyboard lights up, but monitor is pitch black

2. When I completly shut down MPB, and press power button to start. It doesnt. The indicator light on front of computer lights up and then goes dark. Computer doesn't starts up.

3. It takes about 5-8 tries to get it up and running.

Any similar problem?

SMC Reset and/or PRAM reset

SMC Reset:
- remove battery and disconnect AC adaptor/MagSafe
- press and hold power button for 5 seconds
- reseat battery and connect MagSafe back
- turn on

PRAM Reset
- turn computer off, then turn on
- immediately press and hold command+option+p+r for 3 or 4 chimes then release
