MBP VmWare anti-virus software?

    Not sure if this should go in this forum, if not Mods please move it.

    I am running XP under VmWare on my MBP, do I need to install anti-virus software on it? Or is it fine because it is a "virtual" machine.

    If so can anyone recommend some, this is my first foray into windows.

    You do need anti-virus. Its still Windows. Try avast or AVG. Windows on the Mac is the forum you want (for future ref).
