MBP Volume keys not working

Hello, My f10(mute),F11(Volume Down), F12(Volume Up) buttons are not recognizing that there volume buttons. Everytime i click them nothing happens. I can turn the volume up and down manually with my mouse in Preferences>Sound I also Defaulted my keyboard Shortcuts but nothing happened. So is there like a volume keyboard shortcut cause its is not in there. 😕😕😕

Depending on what options you've set up in preferences, you may have to press the fn button as well.

Is this box in your System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse settings checked?

My MBP is in my room so it is not in front of me, but I thought it was like F4, F5 and F6.

Yeah, the location varies depending on the mbp version.

I think they changed the keyboard arrangement in more recent MBPs.

You could always get the wireless keyboard, which matches the new MBP key arrangement. Then you'd feel young, current and relevant! 😀

My MBP is 6 months old and the volume keys are F3, F4, and F5.

Any chance the MBP will be updated soon 🙄

The newest version is younger than 6 months. Mine are F10,F11,F12.
