My MBP volume is so low it's very hard to hear. In order to understand, if I compare it to my iMac, the MBP is about half the volume as the iMac. I've gone into system preferences, sounds and have made adjustments but nothing helps to increase the volume. Is this something that I have to live with or is there another work around?

One piece of software that could be a work around is Boom2. http://www.globaldelight.com/boom/index.php

Per Boom2: "
The Best System-Wide Audio Booster and Equalizer For Mac
Crafted exclusively for OS X Yosemite and comes with audio boosting, full equalizer controls and
cool effects for enhanced Mac audio.

Oh my gosh.....thank you all for suggesting Boom! Easy and quick download and easy and quick install. I was up and running in minutes. Best of all......NOW I CAN HEAR!!!!!!! Can't thank you enough!
