2017 nTB MBP vs 2017 13 inch MBA?

I need a new laptop very soon as my MBA died. Most of my work is just regular browsing and video playing. Although 4K video support would be nice. Display quality is also very important to me.
However I read a bunch of reviews about 2017 MBP having multiple keyboard issues. What’s the chance of me having such issue? Should I just get MBA 13 inch instead from Apple refub store?

If you prioritize display quality, the MBP will be a better option.

Keyboard "issues" is a tricky term. I consider the mere existence of that keyboard to be an "issue" and would never buy a MBP because of that alone. Others disagree and like it. Some people say they don't work properly. Hard to tell without numbers how many have problems.

The Macbook Air is old tech and on its way out. The MBP will be better in almost every way. Don't spend too much time looking for problems on forums, and if it breaks return it.

If display quality is extremely important to you, then I would say either the 2015 or 2017 MacBook Pro 13-inch is the way to go. If you are planning on using 4k monitors, the touchbar model has several significant advantages over the non-touchbar version.

If you want a good screen the air is out, it sounds like any MBP or rMB made recently will be fine for you though.

You have to keep a close watch as to when the model of your choice becomes available.
And if it does show up, you have to buy RIGHT THEN.

Go to "refurb.me" and you can set it up so that it notifies you when the model of your choice is available. Then... be ready to buy!
