I'm on my second (replacement) 17" MBP C2D which has the 7200rpm Hard Drive. The first had a terrible screen. When I received the new one there was a glaring defect with the power button being recessed and very loose. I'm currently waiting on the part to come in from apple and it should be a fairly quick fix (separate issue). I notice the hard drive makes a fairly loud clicking/groan noise when opening apps that is quite present in a quiet noise. It does too when idle but much less. When I took it in to have them listen at the apple store they felt it was normal especially seeing I have the 7200 drive which supposedly has less noise insulation. Anyone else notice this from their machines? It's annoying but I can live with it, I just want to make sure it is in fact normal as I haven't experienced it with other notebooks I've used. thanks in advance!
