About 50%-60% of the time if I sleep my macbook pro, unplug the power, then plug the power back in, it will wake up. It will eventually go back to sleep, but it's kind of annoying.

Does anyone else experience this behavior/is it normal? (Running 10.5.4)

The same thing used to happen on my MBP, now it has stopped. I'm not sure why or how. Have you tried resetting the PRAM and/or SMC?

Ok, this may be funny but do you move it or something?Maybe the sensors are
somehow activated and wake your MBP

Nope, I leave my MBP on my bed when I'm at work, I plug in the cable when I come home, and it wakes up.

and thanks skyrider, I'll try to reset the PRAM, maybe that'll help

My MacBook Pro will wake from sleep when I plug in the power adapter only if there is a USB device plugged in at the time. It's weird, but I can live with it.

I realize people are different... but I don't really understand why that would be a problem. Maybe "because it shouldn't do that" is a good enough reason, but I don't think I have ever noticed or would notice. I guess because if I am fiddling with my MBP I want it to wake up. I leave my plugged in all of the time anyway, so I never have the issue.

I am just curious as to why this bothers you
