anyone else ever have this problem? if i want it to goto sleep, i have to do it manually. any ideas?

reset pram!!!


restart and hold down apple-option-p-r, let macbook chime 4 times before releasing keys.

Hi, I have the same problem on my intel iMac. Resetting the PRAM did not help. I wish there was an easy way to troubleshoot this problem.

yeah it didnt work for me either. althought i dont think i did it right. i restarted it and what once it went black i held the buttons down. it chimed then it restarted it self, then chimed. i kept holding the buttons during this, then the mb just continued to start up. so i never got 4 chimes

I'm hoping that the next update will sort it out. It should not be long now.

Also, i'm sure we must have a common program that is causing this.

I have MOZY installed which seems to use a few cycles constantly.

Also, i have Breakaway and Mainmenu, that load up straight away.

I also have a childrens log-in account with a timer on. Do you have any of these things?
