Well, I spotted a post that talked about Windows 7 being the cause of some heat issues. Mainly due to the challenge in Windows not being designed for the mac or even the other way around.

I don't care about which is more true... what I do care about, is hearing your current experiences with this setup:

    - An MBP 15" or 17"

    - Windows 7 as your running OS

    - Using your MBP for rendering / editing photos / editing videos.

    - Any heat or lagging issues?

I'm asking because that would be my own setup if I went out and bought it now... I already have a steady running desktop system with windows 7 and win versions of the programs I need, so I'm trying to avoid acquiring everything from the bottom again.
But I wont go the windows way, if it means that the laptop feels like it's about to melt when doing basic editing and applying effects in AE.

    Thank you in advance.

Have you checked with Adobe to see if there would be any charge to switch? They offer crossgrades -- for free if you're on the current version -- at least for Photoshop. Not sure about AE, but you might check.
