Great. Now we can look forward to an entire 1500 page, 2017 "waiting for coffee/cannon lake" thread of screaming at Apple for not shipping the Macbook Pro with processors that will, at best, ship in volume in Q2 2018

I can't bring myself to buy a nice 1440p screen; why do I care about 5K right now? Until 4K costs $200 for a 27", I couldn't care less. Bring on Skylake!

Thunderbolt 3 can support it just fine with a separate controller it will almost certainly be enabled on the 15 inch rMBP to be released on Thursday.

    - I was about to mention this. It will still be multi-stream, though. SST 5K can't happen until DisplayPort 1.3.
