I would say its very unlikely that they would that in the next update to the macbook's.

pshhhhh... Apple doesn't even want media card slots on their notebooks, you can forget about a sim card slot.

Less (buttons/ports) is more in Apple land...

Well, the SIM card slot would most likely be in near the battery, so I don't think that they would be very worried about aesthetics.
